We are a Veteran owned company located in Annapolis, MD with a rich history in building custom furniture, restoring wood furniture and crafting fine collectibles. We are proud of the sacrifices and service of all our current and military veterans.
All of our furniture is proudly made right here in the USA. We are active supporters of our local community and build our furniture by hand, one piece at a time, right here in the good ole' USA.
Natural Woodworks is happy to offer a military discount on our hand-made, wood furniture. Please contact us today to take advantage of this offer.
I first met Ron for a custom home office desk project. I had seen a picture of a wonderful contemporary design, but it was too large for my space. Ron was able to do a reproduction to my exact demensions, Walnut species and expresso stain. It' is truly beautiful and something I will have for years. He took the time to send me sketches, come out to show me wood and stain samples, and delivered on-time as promised. Everyone who has seen this piece has complimented it and inquired as to where I got it - I refer them to Ron. We were so thrilled with the results of the desk, we called Ron for a second project - stripping and refinishing a credenza to match the desk he built. We received the same great service. If you are looking for fine wood furniture, you will not be disappointed with Ron!
Walnut – My favorite, attractive colors, grain patterns and very durable
Pine – Very economical and comes in many varieties
Oak – Very “grainey” and stains well
Maple – Works well for cabinets and less expensive than other woods grown in USA
Mahogany – Popular for furniture, rich reddish-brown, one of the better imported options
Cherry – Finishes well with just oil, and ages beautifully
We are passionate about transforming nature into furniture! Natural Woodworks was born when Ron became a product of today’s economy. Being laid off after many years as a project manager for a general contractor, he found himself needing to reinvent. Ron has always been building custom made furniture, cabinets and built-ins for others as a hobby and decided to try his craftsmanship on a business level.
The old saying “a window closes and a door opens” is truly fitting! Ron seized the opportunity and turned his longtime passion for woodworking into a full-time career. He has never been happier! Spending days in the workshop imagining, designing, and building is a dream come true. Hiring and directing a staff of talented carpenters has helped him grow to the company where it is today and we are excited to continue growing. Recently, Ron’s wife Karen jumped on-board and joined him as the sales and marketing manager. Together they lead Natural Woodworks.
